Nelson became a member of ‘Let it Blaw’ in 1972
In Club Secretary Willie Shanks’ report of the 1974 Supper, he remarked that Nelson Baillie, who proposed “the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns,” had a family connection to the Club’s Founder Members. Nelson was the son-in-law of past President Bertie Tennant who, in turn, was son-in-law of the late John Fairbairn, Founder Member of the Club and Secretary for over 50 years.
Nelson was a keen bowler and past President of Currie Bowling Club where he regularly attended their annual Burns Suppers.
