James became a member of ‘Let it Blaw’ in 1932. Club Records show that James succeeded Fred Belford as Headmaster of Balerno School. Like Fred, he was a keen supporter of the annual Burns Competitions within the school.
James was in post for three years before moving on. He was succeeded by Alex Grieve.
