Morag was the wife of Club Member Jimmie Dunbar.
When the Club ran annual “Nichts wi’ the Lasses” between 1977 and 1988, Morag & Jimmie appeared on at least two of the early events in 1977 and 1978. It’s believed they attended more of those events but singers were not always mentioned in reports.
Their singing of Burns songs and Morag’s guitar playing were much appreciated and the Secretary made the following remark in his report of the 10th March 1978 event;
“The Claymore Band kept the feet tapping and the floor full. Kerr Cowan, the piper, gave lovely selections and Jimmie & Morag Dunbar gave lovely renderings with Morag also playing the guitar.”
